Les Salines
White sand, coconut palms and turquoise water. No visit to the south is complete without a stop here, to swim or simply to admire.
View on the mapIn Le Marin, Cap Lodge is the ideal starting point: authentic villages, turquoise water, white-sand beaches, hikes, boat trips, Creole heritage and good food. Here's what we recommend to our guests.
The beaches of the south

Cap Lodge is right at the bottom of the island, in Le Marin, known for its marina, its sailing boats and its seafront restaurants. From the lodge, the beaches of Sainte-Anne are 10 minutes away, Cap Chevalier, the Trace des Caps and the rum distilleries barely further. The airport is 45 minutes away.
Ask us which beach to pick today: depending on the wind, the swell and the crowds, we know where to go.

Habitation Clément, La Mauny and its little train, A1710: the story of sugar cane and rum, to be enjoyed in moderation.
View on the mapAt Anse Dufour, with a little patience, you can watch sea turtles and pelicans. Some southern beaches are also nesting sites: depending on the season, you may be lucky enough to see a turtle come up onto the sand or, later, hatchlings making their way to the sea.
Offshore, boat trips offer the chance to meet dolphins, whales and sperm whales depending on the season. These moments are enjoyed from a distance, without touching or disturbing: that's how we'll keep enjoying them.
At the markets, in Creole restaurants and at roadside stalls, let yourself be tempted by the island's cooking. In Sainte-Anne, Chez Marie-Georges at the roundabout is one of our addresses for a tasty break.
After the beach, the trail or the dive, come back to the calm of the garden, the pool and the terrace. That, too, is living Martinique.
